The TB14 pictured above is, without a doubt, the best colt-starting snaffle on the market today....from the copper inlaid Mullen mouthpiece, to the egg-butt hinge, to the weight. Here is a bit that a colt can carry easily with no chance of pinching. More About Bits... Most of the bits and spurs we offer are made by Tom Balding and Frank Principe. We will also offer a few bits made by Greg Darnall and Don Hanson. We feel that the uncompromising quality that Tom Balding puts into his products blends well with the entire line of products we offer. With the hundreds of different bit combinations available it is impossible to keep them all in stock. However, we continue to add to our select assortment of our more popular quality bits, keeping them in stock to provide our customers with faster delivery.

The HP1 is a great bit for the older horse that is starting to drop its shoulders. This bit has more bite than a Billy Allen style, but performs the same function to lift either shoulder.
Ideal for the young horse that has moved from the snaffle to a solid mouthpiece bit and is starting to take his head from you. This bit is as gentle or as severe as the hands that operate it.
